Cafe Head Chef

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the growing team at AtoZest Events.  Our independent contemporary cafe - Dough - is based on the outskirts of Hereford  at the heart of Bastion Mews. The cafe is currently open 7 days a week - the successful candidate will be required to work 5 days a week with occasional small events in the evening

We are looking for an enthusiastic & hands on head chef to work alongside our cafe manager.  The role requirements are;

  • Menu writing & margin calculation 

  • Liasing with front of house on daily bookings

  • An excellent team spirit with strong communication skills

  • A friendly, fun & enthusiastic disposition

  • High hygiene standards & HACCP practices

  • A passion for good food & thoughtful presentation of ingredients

  • Enthusiasm in sourcing quality, local ingredients

  • To have food hygiene level 2

  • A keen interest in contemporary food as we constantly research and develop our menus.

We believe this is a fantastic opportunity for the right chef to join our friendly team & express their skill and vision to drive this business forward.  We have been open for 2.5 years & we are already a very busy established part of the independent food scene in Hereford. There is plenty of scope within this role for the right candidate to use their creativity.  Outdoor cooking is also a passion of ours & the addition of an outdoor wood burning oven is fast becoming an integral part of the business
